If you know me, you know I am not a big fan of makeup. But what I do love are natural products that highlight the natural beauty of a face without looking like there is any makeup on. I have recently discovered RMS Beauty and their products that offer just that and then some. This brand has everything for both the makeup junkie and the naturalista.
I was sent the RMS Beauty Lip Shine in Bloom ($25) to try. My photos really don't do it justice, the color does look more like what it is on the website (on my monitor anyway). I just apply it with a clean finger, easy. It may also be used on the cheeks as a light blush. I love that their products, including this, are packaged into glass with an airtight metal lid. No plastic and it's all recyclable.
I love that they have the best natural and organic ingredients among make up brands. They avoid using minerals in nano-particle form because they can penetrate cells in the lungs. No paraben preservatives or chemical coatings. Only non-GMO vitamin E used and rosemary extract is used as a preservative. They rate a "1" on EWG Skin Deep Database! They are also a signer of The Compact for Safe Cosmetics. Super awesome.
This is me. NO MAKEUP. Yes, I'm brave. You're seeing the every day, real me. Complete with a soft, comfy shirt. I'm okay with that. Okay, so I smoothed out my blotchiness a little in Photoshop, I admit. But I'm not wearing any makeup. That face looks a little mad. I was trying to take a self portrait in the mirror, not easy.
This below is still me with no makeup! Except for the RMS Beauty Lip Shine. See how natural it looks? Just a hint of color and little gloss, that's my preferred look. Now I just need a little something for the eyes and something to hide my under eye circles. I'm dreaming of the RMS Beauty "Un-cover" Up which I will hopefully have the chance to share with you in the future since it was all out of stock for the holidays - must be popular!

It's nice to hear about good natural products. I like to wear makeup but don't have much time to put it on, plus, the good stuff is expensive. It's nice to know when there's one worth trying.
