Rock Candy Life Eco-friendly Shower Curtain Review and Giveaway



On our list of toxic things to avoid - shower curtains are right up there with toxic household cleaners. They are usually made of PVC and you can definitely tell when you open one and hang it in your shower to off-gas. Enough to make anyone gag! If it smells so bad, you can only imagine the amount of chemicals released into your indoor air. This is exactly why I was excited to discover Rock Candy Life, makers of non-toxic, PVC-free shower curtains. We received the Royal shower curtain with a set of Into the Woods shower hooks for review. 


I opened the package and immediately sniffed the curtain! So used to them smelling like PVC that I was taken aback by the complete lack of any toxic smell! That is just fabulous in my book. This is coming from a girl who gets a headache whenever she smells her neighbors doing laundry with toxic dryer sheets. This curtain is gorgeous, I kind of want to use it as a tablecloth! {hint hint, maybe Rock Candy Life will make some?}


Princess Baby E lovingly demonstrates that she approves of the print, if she had her own bathroom - this would be her curtain. All Rock Candy Life prints are limited edition, so once one sells out it will not be made again. I'm looking forward to seeing what other prints they will come up with, and I would love to see some that are gender neutral (i.e. will get my husband's approval). Oh wait, they have a new one coming out - I love the modern design of the new Maia curtain.

    I like them all, but I agree that the maia is the most gender neutral and would go best in our bathroom!
