Kidoo Containers Review & Giveaway

Even as a family that chooses home education, it always feels like we're on the go. Parks, beaches, visiting friends and family, the library, museums, a walk around the neighborhood, etc. I find myself packing snacks to-go nearly every day. We rarely, if ever, buy snacks on-location - it's so much cheaper to bring your own and know exactly what you are eating. We love the new Kidoo stainless food containers that NoPlastic.ca sent us for review.

These perfectly kid-sized containers are great for both solids and liquids as they have regular lids and airtight options. There is also matching drinking cup, comfy to hold even for my little one (below). I love that these containers are small enough to toss in the diaper bag or stroller, but big enough to hold generous snack portions for my kids. We do find ourselves using them at home on a daily basis as well. My toddler eats soup or omelette out of the bowl, and I mash up whatever we are eating for 10 month old Baby T in another bowl.

The airtight rectangular container has a removable divider that has three slots for placement (as seen above). That's great for separating snacks, like for example my daughter loves olives and grape tomatoes together, or blueberries and cheese. I'm not a huge fan of the amount of plastic used with these, but it's still better than a plastic bag or a reusable plastic container. Your food mostly just comes in contact with the stainless steel. I love that the plastic protects the stainless container from dents, toddler finger prints, and keeps little hands safe from hot contents.

These are fairly easy to wash, I usually just take off the plastic part and rinse it, wash the stainless part, and let them dry separately. The containers are a great alternative to buying copious amounts of plastic sandwich bags, great at home, on trips, and at school. The price tag on these is very modest, the rectangular container is $9.99, round leak proof stainless container is $9.95, and stainless cup is $6.99.
