Our third Back 2 School Event sponsor is Fundanoodle. Haven't heard of this company? If you have little ones from 3 years old to 1st grade take note of this unique system for teaching little ones handwriting.
Baby E will be four this coming January. I am certainly not worried about having formal 'schooling' with her yet, to us learning is just a fun part of every day. At this age it is important for us not to force learning or make it in any way mandatory. So far this approach is working well! She can recite the alphabet both in Russian and English. She is getting rather good with numbers and can do basic addition and subtraction with visual aids. Reading and writing will be a challenge for us because she is learning it in both languages at once. I am trying to keep things separate and when she asks me to write something for her I only do it in one language, then do it in the other language on a different day. She is ready for a little more challenge and asks me to teach her to write letters.
We are looking forward to receiving the Fundanoodle package in the mail this week! I love resources that are ready-to-use and keep learning fun for this age. With an infant I don't have the time to make something up myself, so this is handy. The skills that Fundanoodle teaches are motor coordination, eye-hand coordination, sensory (touch and visual exploration), and problem solving. It's so much more than just writing, it provides you with games and activities that will not only be fun for your child, but will give them the skills necessary to be confident writers in the future. It is great for homeschoolers, teachers and parents, and care providers.
Don't forget to come back Tuesday, July 17th to enter the giveaway for age appropriate learning material for your child!

ReplyDeleteMy son is in the early stages of reading and writing, and any tool that will help him along is more than welcome- especially one that is fun! I'm not interested in drill n' kill- I want my boy to have a love of learning, and this product looks like it would help to give him that.
ReplyDeleteI love that this is a great resource for teaching your children to write at home. I know my son doesn't like doing anything fine motor, but this might be a great motivator for him
