AmeriBag Healthy Back Bag Review & Giveaway

Would you believe it if I told you my 'newest' handbag is about ten years old? I should mention it is the size of a large wallet! It was time for a change and I needed something that is durable and could handle daily use for all the things an infant and toddler may want when we are out. Snacks, sippy cups, camera, and all my stuff. I didn't want a huge diaper bag, I also wanted something that would keep my hands free - a must with a 7 month old. I wanted something that would say 'this is me', not 'this is a bag for baby stuff'. I found all of the above in the AmeriBag Healthy Back Bag!

I chose the Leather Sand Classic Healthy Back Bag in size Small. The reason I chose leather is because I always prefer natural materials to synthetic ones. I also don't change my handbags often, so this will get used daily for many years - I know leather can stand up to that kind of use. There are so many things we love about it! First the shape - it is so comfortable to wear, I love having it on my shoulder, but even more so across the body as a messenger bag. The shoulder strap is adjustable, so you can wear it any way you want. I guarantee you've never worn a more comfortable bag! It distributes weight evenly across your back, which is a must for pregnancy and running around chasing kids. 

You'll love this bag if you're a pocket addict. I need to have lots of pockets, everything has to have its own place. No shortage of pockets here! Also, the lining is silver, so there is not 'black hole' effect in the bag and no loosing things. Wondering how roomy it is? Well, it can fit a small wipes case, two disposable diapers (or one cloth), a sippy cup, my keys, teething tablets, teething oil bottle, small kids toy, and my DSLR (with small lens and no battery pack)! It's roomier than it looks and I was really surprised when my new Nikon D7000 fit in there, it isn't the safest spot for it since it isn't meant for such a camera, but it is great when I need to take it but don't want to haul the entire camera bag. 

The leather Healthy Back Bag that I reviewed retails for $170. I admit it is above my budget for a bag, but if you are like me - you'll appreciate a bag that will last indefinitely and will not fall apart. It's a high quality piece for sure, one that will get many conversations going and you'll hear people asking about it. Keep in mind that AmeriBag makes many more affordable bags though that are just as comfortable. For example, the Healthy Back Bag Tote from the Earth collection is $80, less than half the price. The Classic Healthy Back Bag made of distressed nylon is only $60.
