Welcome Baby: The Little Bee Co. Review & Giveaway {CLOSED}

Every once in a while I come across companies whose mission really resounds with me, such as The Little Bee Co., makers of high quality cloth diapers. For every cloth diaper sold they donate one to an orphan in need. I've worked with orphans in camps overseas and have seen their needs first hand. These babies would otherwise be wearing a dirty diaper (or rags) for extended periods of time or be left without a diaper at all for lack of any options that an orphanage can afford. The Little Bee cloth diapers keep on giving since they can be reused over and over! What a neat concept! You can read about how the Diaper Drops work. 

Materials: We received a newborn Bitty Bee diaper and a Bee Changed one-size diaper to try. Both of these have a bamboo inner and waterproof PUL outer. The one-size diaper also comes in a stay-dry microsuede option. The adorable and tiny Bitty Bee has awesome leg gussets on the inside (right). The newborn diaper color is named Russian Sunflower (how appropriate since I'm Russian!) and the the green is American Meadow, all the colors are named after countries where children are in need.   

Sizing: The Bitty Bee fits preemie to about 12 pounds. Above it is pictured at the largest setting and below at the smallest setting with the umbilical cord snap down. The one-size diaper actually snaps down to quite a tiny size and I anticipate using it from birth. There are plenty of snaps for adjusting until your baby is potty trained.

Value: The Bee Changed diaper provides average value for a quality one-size diaper at $17.95 each, actually a little less than many comparable diapers. It will add up for a whole stash, but that's all you'll need through all cloth diapering years. The Bitty Bee newborn diaper that fits preemie to 12 lbs costs $12.95, perhaps good to have a few for when you're out an about with a tiny newborn and need a trim fit.
