PSG: Paradise Grove Avocados Review & Giveaway {CLOSED}

I am an avocado lover and if you've been reading my blog for a while you know that by now. Some say avocados are tasteless, I completely disagree. It all depends on how you eat or prepare them! Not only do I love the taste, but I love the nutritional punch they offer. Avocados contain just the right type of healthy fat that pregnant women and their growing babies need. They are packed with carotenoid lutein and just an ounce of avocado contains nearly 20 vitamins and minerals.

Paradise Grove Avocados sent me an eight pack of their select creamy Haas avocados. They arrived green (of course), ready to be left out to ripen. I left one out and put the rest in the fridge so that I wouldn't have to eat them all at once. These are not the type you usually find at the grocery store for a $1.50 each, small, 'thready', and with large pits that take up half the avocado. One Paradise Grove avocado would give you about the same amount of flesh as three small store bought ones. Not to mention they leave me free of the frustration I get with small, thready avocados with soft black spots in random places (getting beat up in transport).

There are so many ways to eat an avocado. My favorite happens to be the most simple, cut in half and eaten with a spoon. The best avocado recipe I have ever tried wasn't prepared by me, it was at The Cheesecake Factory, their appetizer avocado rolls are amazing. Don't worry, Paradise Grove has a ton of avocado recipes to keep you covered.

Three Eco-Babyz readers will be blessed with a Large Box of Avocados - 8 pieces ($35 value each).
