Guidecraft Mission Table & Chair Set Review

No kids room is complete without a kid size table and chair set, right? Baby E was really excited about her very own table and chairs for snacking a sipping tea with her teddy bear. Since her own room is in the works right now, this is in our living room. I love that the look and style is so classic that it doesn't clash with any of our furniture. Simple and understated is what we like most.

Ease of assembly: My husband assembled the table and chair set without me. He said it wasn't as easy as IKEA but not terribly hard either. He did have some trouble fitting the pieces together (pre-drilled holes did not fit screws), but not anything he couldn't handle. I could probably assemble it myself, but I recommend leaving the job to the man of the house.

Quality & Value: This set is beautifully made and looks like it is built to last. Solid birch hardwood with birch veneers, not laminate. It can be passed on from generation to generation. Perhaps it will last until my grand kids if we live 'till then! The price varies depending on where you buy it. In our Eco-Babyz Boutique you can currently get it for as little as $127.88 through Amazon. Usually the price is around $160 - $200.

Design: As I mentioned, we love the simple and classic styling of this Mission Table & Chair Set. While Guidecraft also offers beautifully painted sets, we chose this design for the versatility of blending into any room and decor. It is like a miniature version of adult furniture! It is designed for 3+ years old, but our 18 month old loves it as well and can almost climb on the chair herself. So there's a lot of room to grow into it and for it to last at least 4 years. I really like that the finish on it is not glossy, but not so matte that it is hard to clean. It works as a dining table, craft table (just make sure you cover it), train table, you name it. Baby E has found it makes a great little house with a blanket over it!
